Ceramics and Watercolours

David studied technical Illustration at The City of Gloucester Collage of Art, 1965 – 1967
and worked as a Graphic Designer until 2001. On moving to Chepstow in 1997,
started to indulge his passion for ceramics.
A lifelong desire to one day open a Gallery, came to fruition four years later, when he and his wife Josephine opened Riverside Pottery and Gallery in Chepstow.

Now David splits his creative time between making his individual style of stoneware pottery
and his other love, watercolour painting. The subjects of his paintings are many and various.
some derived from the time he spent living on a smallholding in the Forrest of Dean.
Many now depict the beauty of the Severn Estuary, the spectacular Wye Valley
and with special emphasis on Chepstow and surrounds. Painting trips to the Gower, the south
of England and France provide added inspiration.
We have gallery pages of David’s work and that of over twenty local and national artists.
The Gallery also stocks international glassware and gifts.
